Drought is the most serious and recurrent threat to Turkana's pastoralists. We support communities to read early warning signs, agree on early action plans and protect their core breeding animals when pasture and water are scarce.
We also work with partners on emergency animal health support during drought, so that families can recover more quickly when the rains return.
